Resonator International has been making communication devices for several hundred years. They have maintained a large market share through quality control and advanced production techniques. With the recent downturn in the economy, R.I. is now working to streamline their Resonator production process. In order to do this, R.I. is inviting several companies to participate in a competition that will challenge them to develop and implement a more efficient and cost effective Resonator production process.

The company that wins the competition will be awarded the Resonator production contract.

Competition Rules and Regulations
  1. Employees will be randomly assigned to a company (this is more like reality than you think).
  2. Each company will have one week to prepare for the competition.
  3. Each company must present a company name and professional logo prior to the competition. Companies that do not present a name and a logo, will not be permitted to compete.
  4. Prior to the competition, each company must present a manufacturing process summary that outlines the way in which your company will manufacture Resonators and outlines job titles and job descriptions for each employee.
  5. Where the competition is concerned, all of the necessary materials will be supplied by Resonator International. Where practice is concerned, companies must provide their own practice materials.
  6. Companies may develop and use tools that will help them manufacture Resonators. Resonator International maintains the right to review any tools or materials used to construct Resonators.
  7. The winning company will be the company that produces the most Resonators in the allotted time period.
  8. For a Resonator to be counted as a completed Resonator, it must meet all requirements outlined in the Resonator Blueprint Document. (Note that a Resonator must be stacked in a specific way.)
  9. During the competition, companies may not begin construction of Resonators until given the signal.
  10. During the competition, when told to stop construction, each company must stop instantly.
  11. At the end of the manufacturing process, Resonator International will examine the Resonators constructed by each company. Those resonators that do not meet Resonator International's Resonator Guidelines will not be counted.
