Element Web Page Challenge

Well, maybe not that kind of element ....

Look at the table located at http://periodic.lanl.gov/default.htm and make an educational web page all about your favorite element.  You may include this in your ThinkQuest entry if you'd like.

Follow these steps as you work towards creating your final web page.

1.  Select an element and tell me which one you picked.

2.  Download this note sheet. You may print it off and write in your facts or type your information directly on the note sheet.

3.  Research for facts about your element and record them on your note sheet.

4. Make a folder.  Name it after your element.  Put your folder in your geology folder that you have stored within your sites folder.  (Whew, that's a lot of folders!)

5.  Open Dreamweaver and create a new page that is named after your element.  Save the page in your element folder.

6.  Download your 3 images and save them in your element folder.

7.  Write up your research facts in well-organized paragraphs.  Edit for spelling, grammar, capitals, and punctuation.

8. Insert your images, create a color scheme, adjust text size, add a title, etc.

9.  Make a link at the bottom of your page that takes viewers back to your project page.

10.  Make a link on your project page that will take viewers to your element page.

11. Drag your updated project page and new element folder into your sites folder.  Make sure your element folder ends up in your geology folder or your links won't work on line.

12.  Print off a copy of your final web page and turn it in to me.

Here's the assessment rubric that I'll be using to grade your work.
