About the story |
A seventh son - Silas Heap finds an infant baby in the snow on the same night his seventh son Septimus is born and then dies. Silas and his wife raise the infant girl as their own. Ten years after all of this occurs Darke Magyk threatens to overtake the kingdom where Silas and his family live. |
