Each student is responsible for designing and maintaining a personal web site. Although much of the layout and content of the site are up to you, there are some specific requirements that must be met. The design and quality of the site must be first rate and professional. The site should provide a positive reflection of you and CLC. Mark and Morgan reserve the right to have you change any aspect of the site at anytime if it does not meet with our high standards. This site must also be updated regularly. Any pictures or material found on your site that are deemed inappropriate will result in a review of your technology privileges and may result in the loss of those privileges.
The list of requirements that appear below may be added to at anytime. You will be notified of additional requirements and given a deadline by which to make the changes.
Specific First Page Requirements
- Your first name and only your first namemust appear on the first page of the site.
- The first page of the site must contain a brief introductory paragraph that explains a little bit about you and your web site.
- You may only have a picture of yourself on your web site if you parents have completed the Picture Posting Form by circling "IS PERMITTED" and Mark has this completed form in his posession.
- The first page of your site must contain links to,
- CLC's site,
- Mark's site,
- Morgan's site
- your blog, and
- links to the rest of your site.
Specific Site Requirements
- You must maintain a weekly blog. Mark will assign weekly topics for you blog.
- Any web based project requirements must appear on your web site. In other words, if you or your team had to make a web page that explains electricity, it must be part of or linked to your web site.
- Grammar and spelling must be correct.
- You must get permission to use any graphics or images that you have not created.
- Any content, text, pictures, cartoons, videos, and music must represent you and CLC in a positive way.
- Navigation of the site must be easy.
- The color and size of text must help the user in navigating the site.
- Background color must not hinder the use of your site.
- All links must work.
