Parents choose charter schools for a variety of reasons; safety, quality, specialized curriculum to mention a few. There are those who try to define charter schools into a one-size-fits-all "quality" definition which is limiting for schools that were never meant to fit within a single definition to begin with - autonomy and innovation are exactly why charter schools were created and these are precisely the qualities that enable charter schools to be successful. Who better than a student's parent is able to make that decision? (adapted from the Centre for Education Reform)
