Weekly Updates

I strive to create an engaging and challenging learning environment that will improve students performance in the areas of reading, writing, and math. I will also follow through with students in the regular education classroom settings to provide support, accommodations, and modifications for students in areas such as, research, technology, and presentation skills. Above you will find links to activities, assignments and due dates for each (if applicable) Please feel free to e-mail (deb@clccharter.org) or phone 861-7980 with any questions or concerns.

Math- Students will be given daily assignments, Monday - Thursday. Students are expected to complete the daily assignments to be prepared for the following day and tests. Assignments will be posted weekly, but may change daily due to the pace of the class and the difficulty of the concept being taught. If there are any questions concerning the curriculum or daily assignments, please feel free to contact me at deb@clccharter.org.

"Do not worry about your difficulties in mathematics, I assure you that mine are greater." Albert Einstein (1879-1955

Literature - Mysteries are motivational for many reasons. As readers, we are readily engaged by mysteries. We want to know "whodunit," but we also take pleasure in the process of decoding the clues to assure that every piece of the puzzle fits. Students are equally fascinated by this genre and tend to motivate the most reluctant reader. Students are challenged to problem solve and think through complex possibilities as they read.
